ANM stands for Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery it is a diploma course which focus on the study of health care of various individuals. It also taught about how to take care of equipment¸ setting up of Operation Theater¸ provide medication timely to patient and maintain records.Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Nursing is an under graduate course of 4 years duration which focuses on the study of basic fundamentals of nursing whereas Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery (Nursing) is a diploma course of 1 year duration which focuses on the study of health care of various individuals.ANM (Nursing) aspirants can work at Hospitals¸ Educational Institutes¸ and Medical Care Units as Home Care Nurse¸ Nursing tutor¸ ICU Nurse¸ Health Care Nurse¸ and Infection Control Nurse.

GNM referred as General Nursing and Midwifery it deals with the education of nurses in general health care¸ nursing¸ and midwifery. A General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a diploma course of 3 and half year duration includes assessment of various needs of the people from their birth to death. They can put into effect their knowledge gained from the humanities¸ biological and behavioural sciences in their nursing career.
