Kondapalli Thathi Reddy Women?s College was established in 1970 in the name of Sri. Kondapalli Thathi Reddy¸ father of the chief donor Sri. B. Brahmananda Reddy¸ a Philanthropist and a prominent land lord cum rice miller in the town of Gudivada.

This was the first women?s college started in the vicinity of Gudivada¸ the town which has great Social¸ Cultural¸ Literary¸ and Spiritual Significance. It is the birth place of many Literary luminaries like Tripuraneni Rama Swamy¸ Jaaladi¸ film celebrities like N. T. Rama Rao¸ Akkineni Nageswara Rao¸ K. Satya Narayana.

The college was registered under the societies Registration Act of XXI by the 1860 bearing No 84¸ 1968 dated 16th December 1968¸ District Registrar¸ Krishna. The college was recognized as per GO MS NO 1206¸ dated 12th June 1970and was admitted into Grant-in-aid from July1st 1977 onwards.

The college is spread in an extensive area of 10.96 acres with pucca two storied concrete building¸ RCC classrooms¸ Library¸ well equipped Science laboratories¸ English Lab¸ Skill Development Lab and an imposing indoor stadium.

The college is affiliated to Krishna University Machilipatnam and at present offering 6UG programmes . It has Acharya Nagarjuna University Distance education centre with UG and PG courses.
