DESCRIPTION :

International Institute of Management Sciences (IIMS) came into existence in 1979. IIMS was the first in India to receive All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)¸ Govt. of India¸ approval in 1991 for offering PGDBA (equivalent to MBA) in distance learning mode. IIMS commenced a full time MBA Programme approved by AICTE Ministry of HRD¸ Govt. of India and affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) in the year 2004. The Institute is also affiliated to Vidyasagar University for conducting MBA course and Pondicherry University (a Central University) for conducting MBA¸ MCA and various post graduate courses in distance learning mode.
 
In 2011¸ IIMS joined hands with Auckland Institute of Studies¸ one of the largest independent tertiary education institutions in Auckland¸ New Zealand¸ to introduce MBA and undergraduate programmes through cross-credit pathways.
